How we make it

From bottle to print.

We don't just print. We make the material ourselves. Every gift starts as plastic someone threw away, and we turn it into filament in our own shop.

  1. A used plastic bottle
    STEP 1

    Collect

    Used bottles and plastics come in from our pick-ups and drop-offs.

  2. A pile of shredded plastic flakes
    STEP 2

    Clean & shred

    We wash them, remove labels and caps, and grind them into flakes.

  3. A heated nozzle extruding a strand of filament
    STEP 3

    Melt & extrude

    The flakes are dried, melted and drawn into an even 1.75 mm strand.

  4. A spool wound with blue filament

    Spool

    The strand is cooled and wound onto spools, ready for our printers.

    That filament becomes your custom gift, layer by layer.
